You can actually push all your current email through the filter by clicking “Run”, but let’s focus on the other links. Not only that, you’ll see how many filters you have in place, as I see “You have added 1 filter”.Ĭlick on the corresponding “EDIT” link and it’ll show all your active filters: Half-way down the list, however, look closely and you’ll see “Email Filters” as an option. Suffice to say, click on “Preferences” on the top right.įrom here click on “EMAIL” and you’ll be staring at a LOT of preferences and options: ![]() It’s the whole tab setup that throws people off, I surmise.įrom a usability perspective, “Preferences” should be something that’s under the “Email” tab, not a peer. The trick is to go to “Settings” for your entire Comcast account (or is it your Xfinity account? I’m not sure where they draw the line) and then dig in to mail from that level to get to all the many email settings and preferences. But, as I pointed out earlier, the Comcast web-based mail interface rather screams 1999 so it’s no surprise that the usability and user experience both leave something to be desired. ![]() It took me a long time to figure out the answer to this question because I expected an “Action” in the Comcast mail system to be something like “Edit Filters” if you have filters set up.
